The Truro Residence has been featured in Spanish media through Glocal Design Magazine.
The feature, which translates to Geometry by the Sea, celebrates the project’s responsiveness to the client’s lifestyle-oriented brief and the natural environment.
“Geometry revealed in motion
One of the project’s most powerful features lies in the combination of curved and angular geometric forms. This composition creates an architecture that changes with movement. As one walks around the house , the facade reveals new textures, shadows, and relationships with the landscape.
The material palette is restrained. Exposed concrete and raw finishes reinforce the tactile strength of the whole. Thus, the house does not need excessive ornamentation. Its expressiveness arises from proportion, light, and the way the materials reveal the passage of time.”
Hillam Architects is delighted to have this project featured internationally, demonstrating some of the universal principles of considered design.
