The Urban Developer has reported on H-U (Human Urban) lodging plans for the first of three planned apartment buildings in Nedlands, designed by Hillam Architects.

The proposal puts forward a medium density multi-residential development of 48 apartments.

H-U co-founder Rowan Clarke said the six-storey Ferguson Lane project would be named after a small street to be developed as part of the Nedlands Reserve precinct that will centre upon an extension of Hardy Road in the leafy western suburb.

“It’s in a well established area; nice and green and this particular project overlooks the new public open space area [at Nedlands Reserve].”

The apartment building was designed by Hillam Architects whose David Hillam spoke at The Urban Developer’s inaugural symposium in Perth in March.

“They’ve been great,” Clarke said of the Subiaco-based architecture firm.

“It’s been a really collaborative process, so we’re thrilled to be working with them.
