This two storey Wembley residence is next to Lake Monger and faces east towards the city.
Our design took into account both the client’s request to capitalise on these views and the character of the surrounding area.
The solution was a largely L-shaped configuration which placed the main outdoor living area on the northern side of the site to most benefit from natural light. The front elevation of the house stands tall to maximise the views from the secondary living-spaces and the terraces. The front door leads to an open staircase which offers excellent views of the surrounding areas as you walk upstairs and around the house.
At the rear of the home, a luxurious lap pool terminates in an open-planned cabana which is set back from the house to bring unobstructed light into the internal spaces.
The interior palette is deliberately muted allowing the timber floorboards throughout to set the tone.
