This split-level Swanbourne residence was designed on a site with rather challenging topography.
Nonetheless, our design proudly fronts the street in order to capitalise on the northern views to a park. Access to the house is across a timber bridge and through a wooden door which opens into a dramatic two-storey entry void. The architecture is bold, yet sleek and refined, in keeping with the street front.
A single-storey living wing forms the hub of the house with the living and dining areas allowed to expand outwards to soften the distinction between indoors and outdoors.
At the rear, the home wraps around a grassed entertainment area and a pool court with extensive glazing to connect these areas with the main living space.
Warm and elegant materials including timber and natural stone complement the neutral colour palette.
