DAP member and City of South Perth councillor Glenn Cridland said the proposed development would be better than the existing use of the lots.
“I do note the local residents concerns in particular people who bought into Aurelia believing that they will have uninterrupted views forever,” he said at the meeting.
“Perhaps it does look a little high but I don’t think that’s reason for me to not approve it.
“I do anticipate there will more unhappiness, but when it is built it will be attractive and will be a part of the rejuvenation and the change of this part of South Perth, and I will support it.”
