
Delos Way Approved
Hillam Architects welcomes the WA Statutory Planning Committee’s decision to approve the development application for an 83 apartment complex at 3 Delos Way, Sorrento WA for our client, Locus Property.
We appreciate the public consultation process and the careful deliberation of the Committee, and its support of our design in the face of an aging planning scheme that does not meet the current needs of developers or the community’s requirement for higher density living and diverse housing options.

“Our design approach from the beginning was to ensure that immediate neighbours were provided with a better environmental outcome than a scheme which would fit within the existing planning framework.”
The Delos Way development was the first residential project to be submitted through the WA State Government’s Part 11B Significant Development Pathway, implemented to facilitate projects considered to have special significance or meet wider development goals.
We are satisfied that our design meets these criteria as a landmark multi-residential project that honours both the natural environment and the surrounding urban context.
