Revitalising Rivervale

The Springs, Rivervale is a LandCorp master-planned redevelopment near the junction of Great Eastern Highway and the Graham Farmer Freeway. Our brief was to create high-quality accommodation which also enhanced the streetscape and public domain of this exciting urban renewal project.

We proposed a mix of 83 one and two-bedroom apartments of varying sizes to offer a choice of attractive and affordable, entry-level housing. As with many of our mixed-use projects, Ace Apartments provides an exceptionally high-level of amenities including a 12.5m pool, a gymnasium, common outdoor entertaining areas and landscaped gardens.

Ace is far from ‘just another apartment’ development. Its innovative design features a striking white frame in which bedroom and balcony spaces are randomly alternated to create an inconsistent, impressive and vibrant facade. Warm timbers, adjustable screens, textured materials and street-level artwork add to the vitality of the building.

We managed this project from its initial feasibility, including presenting the design to investors and interested parties to ensure approval ran smoothly with LandCorp and the City of Belmont. Sympathetically, the arrangement of the built-form was designed around a large, existing tree.
